The Line Up
May Pang - Her Life with John Lennon
May Pang was the personal assistant to John Lennon and Yoko Ono in New York.
One day in June 1973, Yoko approached May and explained that she and John needed a break from each other, and that May would be his companion, effective immediately.
So began an 18-month loving relationship that has become known as “Lennon's Lost Weekend.” During this period, John was actually the most productive and successful in his post-Beatles career. He achieved his first #1 single, Whatever Gets You Through The Night, his first #1 album, Walls And Bridges, and he was at the forefront of celebrity collaborations with Elton John, David Bowie, Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr. During their relationship, May continued as John's production assistant and coordinator at John's request. Her efforts were rewarded with an RIAA Gold Record Award for Walls and Bridges.
May will be featuring her book on her life with John, Instamatic Karma, and her Feng Shui Collection of jewellery and apparel. www.maypang.com |

Let's Get Back
The Lennon and McCartney parts (both vocal and instrumental) for Let’s Get Back are recreated by Steve Gray (John), a singer/rhythm guitar player from London England, and Bob Kennedy (Paul) a bassist/singer from Etobicoke. Their vocal/musical partnership is augmented by the multi-talented Tabo Inoue (George), who hails from Don Mills, Ontario. Originally a session guitarist from Tokyo, where he played in a similar Beatles tribute band, Tabo contributes faithful renditions of Harrison’s memorable guitar licks and solos to the mix, as well as the required harmonies, keyboards and harmonica parts that are so essential to replicating authentic Beatles arrangements. Add in Tim Connolly (Ringo), a very experienced and accomplished touring drummer from Hamilton, Ontario, who lays down Starr’s patented backbeats, percussions and unique nuances, and you’ve got the ingredients for an authentic Beatles’ sound, as well as lot of energy and plain old fun. www.letsgetback.com |
