Friends and Visitors: It is my pleasure to welcome you to the second annual Orillia Beatles Celebration taking place September 19, 20 &21, 2008. Our Festivals Committee has put together a wonderful weekend of activities and attractions that we are sure will be memorable for the entire community. While there are many Beatles festivals that take place around the world, we believe ours to be the very first of its kind. The Orillia Beatles Celebration is a non-profit, community based event representing all sectors of our community. While you are in our “Sunshine City” enjoying the musical and cultural legacy of The Beatles we hope you can find time to enjoy our warm hospitality and acquaint yourselves with our proud historical heritage and the many cultural pursuits we have to offer. Our vibrant and picturesque downtown has over 200 exceptional shops catering to a wide range of discriminating shoppers as well as many fine restaurants. Congratulations to all of the organizers, sponsors and performers. We commend you for the great deal of preparation and effort gone into putting this second annuall event together. Once again, welcome to our “Sunshine City”.
